Since the American Cancer Society research program was established in 1946, it has funded more than $4 billion in cancer research and American Cancer Society funded researchers have had a hand in nearly every major cancer breakthrough. Already in 2018 almost $12 million has been invested in research grants right here in Washington State.

Road to Recovery
Road to Recovery pairs volunteer drivers with patients who would have no other way of getting to treatment. At no cost to the patient, this service provides access to lifesaving treatment for those who otherwise may not be able to make their appointments. Located in healthcare facilities, professional Navigators are dedicated to helping cancer patients and their families map out their cancer journey from start to finish. Cancer Resource Centers provide patients and their families with advice, education and access to resources to keep patients informed and empowered about their diagnosis. Learn More »
The American Cancer Society, in a cooperative effort with hotels across the country, provides overnight accommodations to cancer patients who must travel for outpatient treatment and need assistance with lodging. In 2017, we provided 638 lodging nights in Spokane to patients and caregivers who traveled to treatment centers. Learn More »
